What
is the best part of being a
Big
Brother or Big Sister?
Win/win
for a Little and Big. Can't beat my Little Brother's smile when
I arrive.
-
Jeff
The
best part of being a Big Sister for me is exposing my little
to experiences and opportunities she never knew existed. It
makes her want more out of life than what she thought was possible.
-
Katrina
It
is a number of little things: Watching My Little Brother grow
(the things he accomplishes), the things I learn from him, spending
time with him, hearing from his family of how much BBBS means
to him.
-
Chuck
I
enjoy the sharing of my life with my Little Sister because it
is so neat to see her face light up when she does things she
has never done before. Just spending time with her has allowed
me to grow as a person.
-
Michelle
Seeing
the excitement of my Little and her friends when we play outside
and just talk!
-
Ashley
Makes
me feel good about myself. Like I might be helping someone,
maybe create a little opening for them to have a better life.
-
Greg
Seeing
the impact I'm helping to make in her life, and hearing how
much she enjoys me as her Big.

Heidi
Playing
Go-Fish… We always play fun games!

the changes that occur in my Little's life.

Being
a part of my Little Sister's life and getting to celebrate with
her when she accomplishes something she didn't think she could
do.
-
Tiffany
It
is a good feeling having an influence in a Little's life.

Steve
Having
a chance to share long talks, long walks, and lots of quality
time with a great friend!! My Little Sister and I have been
hanging out since 1999 and we do sleep-overs, movies, pottery,
swimming and love to make nachos together!!
-
Cathi
To
be able to put a smile on a child's face while she puts a smile
on my face. The moments we share and the bond we can share forever.
-
Tiffany
I
enjoy the one on one time with my Little. New relationships
and conversations are fun and exciting. It is always rewarding
to see others smile and enjoy life. Being able to care for someone
else is so rewarding and brings me lots of happiness.
-
Lindsey
Seeing
the growth and change in my little since we have been together.
The fun that we have and the excitement I see on his face when
we are together.
-
Dan
Just
being able to see her every week and to know that meeting with
her makes a difference in her life.
-
Ashleigh
I
enjoy how happy my Little Sister is when I come. She looks forward
to it every week and says how much she anticipates the day.
-
Brooke
The
ability to participate with a young one's life. The phases of
the relationship between my Little and I are enlightening. Every
time we meet we get the chance to talk about each other's life.
I enjoy every bit with my Little!
-
Veronica
The
feeling of contributing to the quality of life for a child (teen).
-
Michael
Getting
to know my Little and introducing her to activities she wouldn't
normally get to do. The smile on her face is awesome or to hear
her say “this is fun,” is very rewarding.
-
Janice
I
really enjoy getting to know my little. I like being a mentor
and a person that my little canfeel comfortable talking with
about any situation.
-
Isla
The
situation that comes as a result of sharing activities and time
together.

People
thinking we're actually related! I love when my Little
makes me pictures in school, or her taking me to Barnes &
Noble and reading to me, and grocery shopping together.
-
Megan
I
used to work a day camp where I got to interact with kids, and
I missed that. I enjoy having a Little who looks up to me, because
I am the youngest child.

The
best part of being a Big Sister is making a difference in my
Little Sister's life. She is so sweet and I am glad I can be
there to talk to her about things that have been bothering her,
and we can spend quality time together enjoying each others
company.
